Gellerup Højskole Forsamlingshus and turkis present BÅDE HER OG DER — two events during the festival week celebrating the tradition of communal singing from around the world.

WHAT’S HAPPENING?

The rising star of the Danish folk songbook, Marianne Søgaard, and Scandinavia’s finest saz player, Orhan Turan, have gathered an orchestra that reinterprets beloved Danish classics while also introducing sing-along songs from Turkey and other regions close to Anatolia.

All you need to do is show up ready to sing along. We’ll have songbooks for you! Don’t worry — there will be familiar favorites as well as songs you’ve never heard before.

We begin with the folk high schools’ signature activity — a communal dinner — followed by a concert and sing-along.

Food is available from the food truck in the turkis garden. The concert is free, but communal dinner beforehand costs 40 DKK [ORDER HERE]
