DENALI SOUND SYSTEM
Denali Sound builds their “sound” by collecting vinyl, building speaker boxes, promoting bass culture, and presenting many renowned artists. Denali Sound was founded in 2006 by Nick Sangill Mikkelsen, who also founded “Raggapak” (formerly the Danish Reggae Festival) in the same year. When Denali is involved, you can expect heavy bass, Roots and Culture. Denali plays dub, steppers, roots, and jungle, spiced with rare and obscure tracks as well as dubplates.
TIAS DUBWISE
Tias Dubwise is a French selector and vinyl collector who began collecting reggae records in 1995/1996. In the late 90s, in Montpellier in the South of France where he lives, Roots Ting Sound System and Boris Reality Sound System (both from London) came to play with their own rigs. This became the starting point for his decision to spread reggae music in this form himself.
Since then, he has remained active – first with Dub Invasion Sound System (2003–2013), later through many years of internet radio, from RootsLab Radio to today’s Outta Mi Yard Radio. He is currently finishing work on his own upcoming sound system.
This musical journey has given him an extensive record collection, from which he will dig deep and share plenty of reggae vibes with the audience through Denali Sound System.
TRIBE 84 SOUNDSYSTEM
Tribe 84 is a heavyweight Sound System and Record Label dedicated to strictly Roots Reggae & Dubwise, based on the island of Fyn in Denmark. Founded by Mamba in 2015, the building of the sound became a long journey that was finally completed in 2024. In 2021 Henning, Felix and Jakob joined the crew, making it possible to launch the sound during the Dubfabrikken session in September 2024.
The entire system is hand-built from scratch and crafted with love. It consists of custom-made boxes, speakers, electronics, effects, a custom preamp and a wide collection of vinyl records – all designed to deliver deep bass frequencies and uplifting vibrations. With more than 20kW of amplifier power and 10kW of speaker power, the sound system is built to let you fully embrace the low frequencies of heavy bass music.
The crew – Henning Reggae Moods, InnaCity Jakob, Felix Mogens and Mamba – is based in Odense, Denmark.
