MGK-Ø invites you for the Semester-concerts at turkis!

The evening features a variety of bands performing both original compositions and works by others across different genres. You can look forward to hearing Pop, Rock, Jazz, Latin, Afro, Gospel, and Hybrid music.

MGK-Ø is a 3-year program for young musicians aged 15–25. It’s about Music, Energy, Experimentation—and above all: a proper celebration!

DANISH YOUTH JAZZ ORCHESTRA

The Danish Youth Jazz Orchestra is a fast-rising youth big band on the Danish jazz scene. The orchestra is made up of emerging talents from the region who are on their way into the Danish jazz environment, and it functions both as a young elite big band and as a talent development platform in the Central Denmark Region. The Danish Youth Jazz Orchestra makes room for the wild, the quirky, and the experimental—while staying rooted in tradition. The orchestra is led and conducted by drummer, composer, and conductor John Riddell (b. 1995), one of the most in-demand young drummers in Denmark.
