ORBOUT (artist-in-residency)

Aarhus-based interdisciplinary art project Orbout is an ensemble based on the compositions of songwriter, producer and performer Jeppe Toubro. Orbout released its second studio album “Sincerity” in late 2023 and has through its production developed a far-reaching network of international collaborators. In turn creating a rich sonic and stylistic tapestry ranging from classical biennale suites to genres such as NU jazz, Triphop and Soul music, blended into a widely independent sound. Through the framework of Toubros compositions, the body of work has been interpreted into a more electronic live sound, based on synthesizers, deconstructed sound design and a focus on immersive interdisciplinary storytelling.
