SPOR X TURKIS: OUR VOICES

23/5/2024

Doors: 19:30 // Performance: 20:00-21:00

OUR VOICES AF CƯỜNG MINH BÁ PHẠM

"Our Voices" celebrates diversity and solidarity within the East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) community, focusing on shared experiences and the unique cross-pollination of cultures. The performance delves into our understanding of the myriad experiences and challenges individuals face, aiming to foster empathy and solidarity across all communities of color.

Tonight's performance features the intense flow of Chinese-Vietnamese-British rapper Jianbo, the melodic echoes of Chinese-British artist and vocalist Mui Zyu, and the textural improvisation of musicians Vincent Ruiz Yuen, Rasmus Kjær, and Anders Vestergaard.

Inclusivity and cultural dialogue form the basis for using identity labels thoughtfully and acknowledging their importance. This collaboration between British ESEA artists and their local counterparts serves as a platform to explore the profound impact of personal experiences on creative expression and enriches our collective discourse on art and identity.
