MOVEMENT SHAPED LIKE A HEART: LISTENING SESSION WITH WARP
15/10/2025 - 16/10/2025
WEDNESDAY: 21:00-23:00 // THURSDAY: 10:00-12:00 // ADMISSION: FREE
Movement Shaped Like a Heart opens the doors to a live recording at turkis with the impro-rock band Warp.
Recording freely improvised music can be a complicated task. Entering the studio with the intention of creating a finished product – while simultaneously trying to let go of expectations – often leads to a unique and exciting artistic process.
This is the space we want to open up to an audience, and we invite you to take part in it.
It’s not a concert in the traditional sense, but neither is it a completely open session. We wish to show the recording process in a bare and honest way – with the music, the surrounding reflections, but also the coffee breaks and the technical hiccups.
Following this event, there will be a concert with Warp, Farvel & Peter Laugesen, and Malina Midera. That’s on Friday, October 17, and you can read more and find tickets here
WARP
Warp is powerhouse impro-rock + bending, swaying, warping ambient, droning, and utterly rocking eclectic soundscapes where catchy melodies cross paths – at times patient, at others exuberant, always intertwined. Sweet dreams and hellish fantasies – it’s begun to warp.
On stage: Jens Højbøge Mosegaard (drums), Ellen Marie Yde Kjær (saxophone), Gunnar Feilberg (guitar), Signe Jacobsen (piano + synth), and Timothy Martin (guitar).
