Dance with your baby at turkis – for babies aged 3–12 months.
Your baby mirrors your joy of movement. That’s why we invite you to this mini course focused on pleasurable and present movement – both free and guided. We always begin with a check-in, where you have the chance to share with others in the group, followed by a bodily check-in for you and your child. Then we dance. You will alternate between dancing with your baby in your arms or in a carrier, and dancing while your baby is on the floor, giving you more freedom to move.
One of the lovely things about this class is that it works beautifully whether your baby is awake or asleep <3
We move to gentle music that supports relaxation and regulation, as well as to more up-tempo music that invites more energetic movement.
Movement has stress-reducing and emotion-regulating effects, and it can be deeply nourishing for both you and your baby to share this time together.
Mother and father groups are welcome. Many participants also join on their own, so feel free to come and meet other parents on leave and their little ones. You are welcome whether you love to dance or it takes a bit of courage to show up – the exercises are designed so everyone can take part.
Your teacher:
During the course you will meet Maria. Maria is a trained psychomotor therapist with extensive experience in sensorimotor development and movement facilitation. She has led many different groups in Lilleby and loves the sense of community and presence there.
