turkis and Unge Danske Digtere will open up the stage for everyone with something in their hearts! Join us for a wonderful evening of poetry, songs, stories, and much, much more when we host an open stage on March 26 – everyone is welcome to perform!
You’re also more than welcome to come as part of the audience; everyone in the room contributes to the amazing atmosphere.
Unge Danske Digtere is a poetry-group based in Aarhus that creates events around the city. As part of their many initiatives, they have a performanceteam, and two of their talented poets will kick off the evening’s show!
You will experience poet and songwriter Emil Riisager.
Riisager mixes spoken word with a rap flow, writing his highs and lows into verses with surprising rhymes and hard-hitting lines. Riisager writes about his youth, about life lived from paycheck to paycheck, using his words to search for his place in this world.
You will also experience poet and flow expert William Sommer.
William is a born-and-raised Aarhusianer who isn’t afraid to open his mouth. His performance blends rap and poetry, giving voice to everything we are scared to say out loud. His texts are full of critique – aimed at society, its citizens, and just as much, aimed at himself.
For us it’s very important to mix experienced artist with everyone else. The stage is for all of us and that is what we will celebrate!
