Gellerup Sessions is a series of concert formats where you get up close to the performing artist, bridging the gap between stage and audience. The concept looks like this:

First, a communal dinner at Gellerup Højskole – with both the band and the audience. Conversations about music, the weather, or something entirely different.

After the meal, a Q&A with the artist. About their music, who they are, and how their music comes to life. A behind-the-scenes look at the creative process.

Finally, a concert with the artist – in a simple and fairly low-key setup at a changing venue in Gellerup. Semi-unplugged, you might call it.

Expect some incredibly intimate and present evenings, created in collaboration with Gellerup Højskole.

FARAHANI

Farahani is an Iranian-Danish artist and producer who creates a boundary-pushing sound, where electronic house meets pulsating rhythms and organic instrumentation.
With a passion for surprising the listener, he invites his audience on a sonic journey where the music is never static, but constantly evolving.

His music is a fusion of Western and Middle Eastern elements, where language is never a limitation but a fluid exchange between Danish and Iranian.
For Farahani, it’s all about mood, energy, and creating a vibe that goes directly into the body and emotions.
