PICNIC & JAZZ PÅ PERSISKE TÆPPER / ALBERTE SVENNINGSEN DUO + ROSYÁN
15/7/2025
Event begins: 12:00 // Admission (including food): 135 DKK // 95 DKK
KANT, Syv Munde and turkis invite you to picnic and jazz on Persian rugs during Aarhus Jazz Festival
The local food collective Syv Munde will serve two vegetarian and seasonal dishes, accompanied by the sound of new Nordic jazz from Alberte Svenningsen Duo and atmospheric soundscapes from rosyán.
Everything takes place outdoors in the garden next to turkis. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll move the picnic indoors onto the rug-covered floors at turkis.
We take care of the food, the entertainment and the picnic rugs – all you need to bring is your own plate and cutlery. You can lick your plate clean or make use of turkis’ dishwashing service before heading home or off to the next jazz event.
With the final dish, we serve a glass of Turkish tea. Water is free, and turkis’ bar will be open – so we kindly ask that you don’t bring your own drinks.
We’d love to see as many of you as possible for this cozy afternoon. That’s why we offer two ticket prices: one for smaller budgets and one for bigger ones. You choose the price that suits your situation.

rosyán روشن
rosyán is the Danish-Iranian solo project of composer, cellist and improviser Rosanna Lorenzen. With the cello in the lead role, she explores the instrument’s possibilities – both acoustically and through electronic manipulation – creating new and unpredictable sound patterns. Her sound ranges from fragile passages to raw and massive textures, often combined with field recordings, unpolished and processed.
She moves between atmospheric soundscapes and rhythmic structures, constantly balancing between improvisation and predetermined form. rosyán works and collaborates across genres – with musicians and visual artists alike. Her performances range from the Lydbrøndene on Frederiksberg and a dome in Berlin, to sleep concerts, audiovisual works in an 18-metre-high oil tank in Sweden with 25 seconds of reverb – as well as concerts in Copenhagen Cathedral, SPOT Festival, SPOR Festival and the DR Concert Hall.
SYV MUNDE
Syv Munde is a food collective from Aarhus, founded in 2024 by seven friends sharing a deep passion for the power of food to bring people together. We host long table dinners with green, flavourful and seasonal dishes that invite sensory experiences, conversations and community.
At Syv Munde, we aim to create moments where horizons expand and people meet in new ways. Our vision is for these dinners to be more than a meal – to be an experience that builds bridges between cultural life, connection and curious sensuality. We believe food experiences are most powerful when shared.
