TROLSKA POLSKA
Trolls, water nymphs, mischievous sprites, elven folk… what is it that stirs out there in the forest? Whether we believe in them or not, they seem to live somewhere deep in our collective imagination...
Trolska Polska is a fairytale-inspired orchestra that conjures a festive and enchanting universe full of mythical creatures from the Nordic folklore. With infectious melodies and joyful rhythms, they draw us into a world where imagination runs wild.
The orchestra features a group of handpicked talents from the Danish-Swedish folk scene, brought together by Danish multi-instrumentalist Martin Seeberg – recipient of the DJBFA honorary award in 2016 and known from groundbreaking projects like Sorten Muld, Instinkt, Valravn, Asynje, and Virelai.
This seven-member troll-sized ensemble forms a miniature troll symphony, awakening giants, elves, goblins, and mysterious forest creatures with Seeberg’s captivating tunes played on a myriad of curious instruments. For these whimsical and almost ancient-sounding compositions, Seeberg was awarded a Danish Music Award for Composer of the Year in 2014, based on the debut album “Moss” by Trolska Polska.
