FROM HISTORICAL RESISTANCE TO PRESENT-DAY STRUGGLES

8/3/2026

Doors: 18:00 // Admission: Free

Are you ready to mark March 8 with heart, mind, and collective singing?

Everyday Sexism Project Denmark invites you to a free evening at turkis, where we celebrate the history of women’s struggles and recharge our energy for the battles we are still facing today.

We’ve set the stage for a powerful and atmospheric night together with the duo Sagatone, consisting of cultural historian and folk high school teacher Ditte Kröner, and harpist and church singer Sigrid Vibe Kristensen. Together they create a vivid and sensory space where music and history merge to shed light on women’s resistance through time. Ditte Kröner unfolds the harsh yet life-affirming conditions that shaped the songs, while Sigrid Vibe Kristensen leads the musical journeys. Through piano and Celtic harp, they give voice to remarkable women from history and bring past struggles to life in the room.

Doors open at turkis at 18:00, and at 19:00 Sagatone takes the stage with their musical storytelling. When the final historical notes fade, we continue the cozy atmosphere with a sharp International Women’s Day playlist curated especially for the evening by the wonderful ESPD volunteers.

Bring your loved ones and close International Women’s Day with a fully sensory journey through the voices of women’s struggles.

See you on the barricades — and at turkis!
