Listening Clubs with DJ Sabs – The World Culture Corner at turkis!

The World Culture Corner opens the autumn season with a series of special listening clubs at turkis. These gatherings create a space where we can listen to Roots&Hybrid music together – not as background, but as a living narrative.

The listening clubs are places where music can unfold in its full length and presence. We listen to selected tracks or albums and then talk about what we’ve heard: instruments, sounds, moods, and stories. The conversation is open and informal, and you are very welcome to simply join and listen – it’s entirely up to you.

DJ SABS

The project is created and facilitated by DJ Sabs, an educational anthropologist and project leader behind the World Culture Corner. Since 2017, she has worked to create musical spaces where cultural storytelling, community, and curiosity go hand in hand. Through her DJ sets, DJ Sabs has experienced that audiences don’t just want to dance—they want to understand. The World Culture Corner is her answer to this need: a place where music and storytelling meet and open new perspectives.
