RIGÓ CHOIR

RIGÓ is a choir working with vocal polyphonic heritage from various cultures. We rehearse weekly on Monday evenings at turkis, Aarhus.

Our goal is to create a community around folklore and celebrate cultural diversity. We welcome all kinds of voices and members despite their background regarding music and singing. All material is taught by ear, therefore being able to read sheet music is not needed.

During a season we aim to have a diverse repertoire from various cultures and styles, we have previously worked with songs from Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Hungary, Greece, Kurdistan, Spain, Portugal, Argentina and Brazil among others.

The choir is led by Dorottya Máté, student of Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium, who is passionate about folklore and vocal music.

MEMBERSHIP

The choir opens for new members for the coming season starting on the 1st of September. To become a member or to join for a free trial, fill out out the form below before the 26th of August: Registration form

We rehearse on Monday evenings at turkis from September to December (except during holidays).

PRICE PER SEASON:

➤ 700 DKK - student fee
➤ 900 DKK - normal fee
