Los Wembler’s de Iquitos fills the stage with psychedelic cumbia from the Amazon – an explosive cocktail of tradition, surf guitar, and danceable grooves. Later in the evening, the party continues with Indus, delivering an intense fusion of Caribbean rhythms from Colombia and pulsating analog synths.

LOS WEMBLER’S DE IQUITOS
Since the late 1960s, the family band Los Wembler’s de Iquitos has been one of the driving forces behind some of cumbia peruana’s most unforgettable classics – and today they play with more psychedelic energy and groove than ever before.
The story begins when Peruvian shoemaker Solomon Sanchez gathered his five sons into a band that combined traditional rhythms with electric, surf-inspired guitars. The result was a new sound that set dance floors on fire and gave us songs like “Sonido Amazonico” and “Danza del Petrolero” – tracks that not only started parties but sparked a whole cultural wave.
Iquitos, their hometown deep in the Amazon, can only be reached by plane or boat. From here, the brothers absorbed inspiration via radio from across the continent and beyond: psychedelic rock from North America, Colombian cumbia, Brazilian carimbó, Ecuadorian sanjuanitos, and Venezuelan joropos blended into their unique expression. Today, the band also includes Solomon Sanchez’s grandchildren.
After a 25-year break, they released the EP Ikaro del Amor in 2016, named after a shamanic song used in ayahuasca ceremonies. Three years later came the album Vision del Ayahuasca. Now Los Wembler’s de Iquitos are back on the world stage – groovy, psychedelic, and ready to turn every concert into an unforgettable party.
INDUS
Indus is a band that blends ancestral sounds from Caribbean Colombia with analog electronic elements. The Bogotá-based duo consists of producer Oscar Alford and – since late last year – percussionist Franklin “Lamparita” from Sambacilio de Palenque.
Indus released their debut album in 2020, followed by three singles (2020–2021) and two EPs (2020–2022) on the Afro-Colombian label Palenque Records. Their second album, Negra, was released in 2024 on ZZK Records.
Live, Indus is an energetic explosion of analog acid synthesizers and afro percussion – an invitation to dance and journey through reinterpretations of Colombia’s ancient sounds. The band has performed at some of Colombia’s biggest festivals such as Colombia al Parque (Bogotá) and recently at Festival Mutek (Montreal, Canada).
Their first European tour in 2024 took them to festivals like Nuits Sonores (Lyon), Serralves Em Festa (Porto), and Fusion Festival (Larz) – just to name a few.
