WORKSHOP WITH DEBASISH GANGULY & MADS EGETOFT
8/5/2026
Start: 15:30 // End: 18:00 // Admission: 80 DKK
In this workshop, we will work with Indian compositions (ragas) and improvise over them together.
Debasish is a sitar master from Kolkata in West Bengal, India. He is a gentle and generous teacher with a warm and welcoming presence. His playing is technically sublime, and when he unfolds the emotional depth of the compositions through his improvisations, it is truly heart-moving.
Together with saxophonist Mads Egetoft (Kresten Osgood Kvintet, Baujillaud), he has performed for more than 10 years—so chances are they will share an anecdote or two from life on tour or from being a musician in India.
