Viktoria Søndergaard SECRETS – Musical Magic Without a Filter
Award-winning vibraphonist, composer, and bandleader Viktoria Søndergaard launched her most personal project to date in 2025: Viktoria Søndergaard SECRETS – a dream band composed of five powerful voices from the Danish music scene: Elvira Skovsang, Øyunn, Ida Duelund, and Frederik Blæsild Vuust.
Viktoria creates a playful, collective, and uncompromising musical universe, where boundaries between genres, moods, and reality dissolve. SECRETS is both vulnerable and powerful, understated and expressive – a living organism of musical togetherness.
The music draws from a wide range of influences – from jazz, chamber music, and pop to rap, Sukuma (Tanzania), the Scandinavian tonal tradition, and the Danish folk high school songbook. The result is a sound that defies categorization – but captivates, challenges, and opens the listener.
Viktoria Søndergaard has previously made her mark with the group BARYL and the duo SMUK ZVUK (with Czech artist Klára Pudláková), and has collaborated with names like Marilyn Mazur, DR’s Big Band, Smag På Dig Selv, and Tivoli’s Ensemble. She has received numerous awards, including the Aarhus Jazz Talent Prize 2022, Tivoli’s Jazz Prize 2022, Roager Grant 2024, and the Carl Prize Honorary Award in 2025 – personally presented to her by Mazur herself.
Buster Isitt
Dreamlike guitars, a fragile vocal presence, and harmonies rooted deeply in jazz and Brazilian music form the core of Buster’s sonic world. In his work, you hear a constant, whispering dialogue – a sound that invites inner reflection and presence.
Buster Isitt is a Swedish-Danish guitarist, composer, and songwriter, born and raised in Stockholm. Drawing inspiration from folk, jazz, and South American musical traditions, he has crafted a sound that builds on the legacy of artists such as Egberto Gismonti and Pat Metheny – while carrying an entirely personal imprint. After many years on the Danish music scene – with releases and concerts alongside acts such as David Miilmann Group and Veronika Rud – he has now released his first EP under his own name. His debut single, "Kan jag glömma?", is nominated for a DMA Jazz Award for Single of the Year.
Live, Buster’s concerts are marked by intimacy, honesty, and exploration. He often collaborates with some of the country’s strongest musicians, creating a sensitive and searching space where audiences feel seen and invited in. These are performances where the boundaries between genres and moods dissolve, allowing the imperfect and the unexpected to shine.
With his debut as a solo artist, Buster Isitt steps forward as a mature and curious voice in the alternative music landscape.
